Bidding on your weekly assignment will be an essential part of balancing your life and responsibilities. Each week you’ll need to select your preferred hours for the upcoming week. Your bids must be submitted to the management team Tuesday night no later than 11PM.  Schedules are generally ready on Thursday’s.  Since you are just starting in the feeder department, you are bidding more for preferred start times than the job you desire because most likely more senior employees will have already taken the preferred positions available for the week.  Look at the job summary provided to select the hours that fit your schedule from the most to least favorable. Although, choosing all open routes is usual practice, Refer to the route summary, so you do not get a surprise, like your going on a sleeper run to New Mexico next week because you selected that job and got it. Surprises like this are generally avoidable with the correct information, and that information can be found in this pamphlet, and with your coworkers both hourly and management.
